This
1978 Jaguar XJ12. 5.3. Is in remarkable condition. It was supplied new by Jaguar Main dealers “Henleys” of
Chester to the 1st Owner on 4th August 1978. The Jaguar was serviced and maintained by them for
many years, there are 8 stamps in the service book up to 23,352 miles.
The mechanics are wonderful, it
starts first time every time and the V12 5.3 powers the car effortlessly, it has the Pre HE version of the Jaguar V12 engine
although less economical then the later engine from 1979 onwards it is more powerful and these V12 early cars are becoming
highly collectable, the ride is whisper quiet and on the road it is a joy to drive performing beautifully.
The interior is almost
in mint condition and we hope the photographs will clearly demonstrate this, please take the time to view them all.
The
body is rust free and the paintwork virtually unblemished, we have never seen better in our 23 years in business.
The
2nd owner who acquired the car in June 2006 had a bare metal respray and re-chrome carried out
costing many thousands of pounds during 2007, the body condition etc is frankly just wonderful and we think you will struggle
to find better, please look at all the photographs on this link page (enlargements) http://vrc1986.co.uk/id32.html , it is fair to mention although this Jaguar is HPI clear (we have a clear HPi report
with the car) that sometime in 2005 this jaguar was subject to an Insurance claim, the details as we understand it were that
is was parked one parking bay away from a Peugeot that caught fire, although the fire was attended to quickly the Jaguar suffered
some paint damage, the Insurance Co decided not to repair the car and paid the 1st Owner accordingly, we are informed
the car was acquired by the service manager of the local garage and in turn was purchased by the second owner in June 2006,
in 2007 the 2nd owner had a full bare metal respray and much re-chroming etc carried, we have some pictures of
this work in progress, the end result is a wonderful car that in fairness has been subject to a non accident damage insurance
claim, this is noted in the log book, some potential buyers may possibly be put off by this and we accept that, but it does
we hope represent excellent value for money and is HPi clear.
A search will find few of these cars for
sale, the only ones we found available (only 2) of similar quality were priced well in excess of £10,000, we think this
Jaguar is priced very fairly, please look at all the photographs (enlargements).
This is a wonderful car
in remarkable condition.
Part exchange for a Classic Car/Cars welcome.
